Coaching

Coaching

After every meeting, The Gap's AI Coach reviews how your meeting went and provides personalised feedback to help you improve your advisory delivery over time.

The coaching report is private — only the Lead Advisor for the meeting can see it. No one else in your organisation, and no clients, will ever have access.

How coaching reports are generated

A coaching report is available at the end of every meeting. When you switch to the Review tab after your meeting, you'll see the coaching report listed in the left-hand deliverables panel.

Click on Coaching report to generate it. The Coach analyses four inputs from your meeting to produce the report:

  • Your agenda — the structure and talking points you planned
  • Your notes — what you captured during the session
  • The transcript — what was actually said (if Scribe was used)
  • Pre-work responses — what your client shared before the meeting

Based on these, the Coach provides a detailed assessment of your performance, including what you did well and where there's room to improve.

What's in the report

The Coach identifies your meeting type (e.g. Cashflow & Profit Improvement, Complimentary Client Review, Accountability Coaching) and evaluates your delivery against The Gap's advisory methodology, tailored to that specific type of meeting.

Each report includes:

  • A scorecard — key areas like preparation, discovery & coaching mindset, active listening, structure & pacing, forward-facing focus, and accountability are each rated so you can see at a glance where you're strong and where to develop.
  • What you did well — specific moments from your meeting, not generic praise. The Coach names the technique you used and explains why it worked, so you can deploy it deliberately next time.
  • What to improve — patterns the Coach spotted, each paired with a concrete alternative. Where it helps, the Coach will reference your own words from the transcript.
  • The opportunity left on the table — the single highest-value moment you missed, framed in terms of what could have been different.
  • Three things to do differently next time — specific, actionable, tied to this meeting.

Where relevant, the Coach will point you toward resources in Gap Academy to help you build on the feedback, earning you CPD hours as you go.

Who can see the coaching report

Only the Lead Advisor — the person listed as Lead Advisor for that meeting — can view the coaching report. Even other users in your organisation who have access to the meeting workspace will not see it.

This is by design. The coaching report is a private development tool, not a shared deliverable.

The Coaching area

You can also access all of your coaching reports from the main menu by clicking Coaching.

This opens the Coaching area, which displays a summary card for each of your past meeting reports. You can search for specific reports by:

  • Client name
  • Meeting name
  • Date

Clicking on a report card will open the original meeting workspace with the coaching report displayed, so you can review the feedback in full context alongside the agenda, notes, and transcript from that meeting.

Good to know

  • You must click to generate it — the coaching report won't appear automatically. Click on it in the deliverables panel to trigger the Coach's analysis.
  • It's private — only the Lead Advisor can see the report, both within the meeting workspace and in the Coaching area.
  • It can't be shared or downloaded — the coaching report is a digital-only, in-app experience. It's not available as a PDF and can't be sent to anyone.
  • It's tied to the meeting — opening a coaching report from the Coaching area takes you back into the full meeting workspace, so you can cross-reference the feedback against what actually happened.
  • It can be regenerated — if you update any of the inputs (agenda, notes, transcript, or pre-work responses) after the report has been generated, click Regenerate at the top right of the report to produce a fresh analysis that reflects the changes.
