FYI Integration

The Gap integrates with  FYI so you can easily file documents created in The Gap.

How to set up the FYI integration

Attention
You must have administrator rights in The Gap  and in FYI to follow the setup steps in this article.
  1. Navigate to Settings MenuOrg Settings> Integrations
  2. Click the Connect button on the FYI Integration tile.
  3. Complete the relevant fields in the popover prompt. To find your Access Key ID and Access Key Secret please follow FYI's help article here.
  4. Click Connect to complete the integration.

✅ Successful connection:

  • The FYI tile will show a "Connected" status.

  • You'll now see the option to file documents to FYI.

❌ If connection fails:

  • You’ll see an error message (e.g. invalid credentials).

  • Double-check the Access and Secret Key from FYI  and try again.

  • If problems persist, contact support.


    Filing to FYI 

    You can file documents to FYI when:
    1. Sharing a Session Record and/or Business Plan post-session finalisation
    1. Viewing a document from  Clients>Documents.

              

               Supported document types:
      • Session Record

      • Business Plan

      • Collated Pre-work Responses

      • Collated Feedback Forms

      • Accepted Proposals

      Steps:

      1. Click Share on the desired document.

      2. In the Export tab, choose Share to FYI.

      3. The system will auto-match the client (you can override it manually).

      4. Click Share to upload.

      Result:

      • A PDF is generated and filed into FYI with metadata (client name, date, PDF name).


    Troubleshooting File Failures

    If you see an error message like "We had trouble sharing [Document Name] to FYI ":

    • Click Try Again.

    • Check your client match selection.

    • If issues continue, capture a screenshot and contact support.


    Disconnecting from FYI

    1. Navigate to Settings MenuOrg Settings> Integrations
    2. Click the Disconnect button on the FYI Integration tile.
